Alan Salles is an experienced Case Manager with over 18 years of expertise supporting adults and children who have sustained brain injuries, catastrophic injuries, or complex long-term conditions. He has a strong track record within medico-legal contexts, coordinating multidisciplinary rehabilitation programmes and overseeing high-quality, person-centred care packages. Alan is recognised for his sound judgement, analytical reporting, and collaborative working style, partnering effectively with solicitors, deputies, clinicians, families and statutory services to achieve optimal outcomes. With an MSc in Global Health & Development and a BA (Hons) in Professional Practice (Integrated Health and Social Care), Alan is committed to improving the lives of individuals affected by complex injury, including brain injury, spinal cord injury and polytrauma. He also has extensive experience supporting and educating families, ensuring they feel informed, empowered and involved throughout the rehabilitation process.
Throughout his career, Alan has built a comprehensive foundation in neuro-rehabilitation and complex case management, progressing through roles that have continually strengthened his leadership, coordination and decision-making skills. His early professional experience provided him with an in-depth understanding of complex care environments, rehabilitation delivery and multidisciplinary working. As he advanced into more senior roles within the complex care and support industry, he took on increased responsibility for supervising care teams, implementing MDT-led rehabilitation plans, conducting needs assessments, and supporting medico-legal processes through structured reporting and liaison with legal professionals. His experience spans work across the legal, medical, healthcare, education, vocational, care and support sectors, giving him a comprehensive understanding of the full rehabilitation and recovery pathway.
As a Case Manager, Alan has developed the breadth of skills and professional judgement required to manage complex cases with confidence and clarity. He has significant experience completing immediate needs assessments, developing and reviewing detailed care and rehabilitation plans, and coordinating multidisciplinary input to support meaningful, outcome-focused progress. Alan is highly skilled in managing risk, safeguarding, and navigating complex family dynamics, maintaining professional boundaries while advocating robustly for client needs.
