What an incredible day we had on Friday at our NeuroHealth company meeting and training day!
Company meetings are always a wonderful opportunity to come together as a team, learn, and share insights. Friday was no exception – with lots of inspiring and practical content covered in just one day!
We had the pleasure of hearing from our amazing guest speakers, Gayle Chandler and Kate Balzer from Linguistic Resolutions. Their jam-packed session focused on Cognitive-Communication Disorders (CCDs), with a deep dive into understanding what CCDs are and their various presentations, as well as the complexities of CCDs following serious injury and how this impacts neurorehabilitation; and finally discussing practical tools, guidance and individual and group rehabilitation services to fully support clients living with CCDs. Thank you both so much!
Our afternoon was highlighted by the magnificent Julie Denning PhD, Chartered Health Psychologist, Managing Director of Working To Wellbeing and Chair of the Vocational Rehabilitation Association (VRA). As one of the leading figures in vocational rehabilitation, Julie’s presentation really got under the bonnet of what good vocational rehabilitation is and why it is so important in serious injury rehabilitation, supporting an individual’s overall health, well-being and identity, and bringing vocational rehabilitation discussions to the forefront of a client’s rehabilitation journey. A huge thank you for sharing your expertise with us!
In addition to our guest speakers, NeuroHealth Case Manager Kirsty Gifford shared her extensive experience of managing complex care packages and the intricacies of supporting them to CQC standards, as well as how to handle and resolve challenging situations. Kirsty, your insights were incredibly practical and much appreciated!
We also had some interesting updates from our team of Assistant Case Managers and Administrators, hearing about the extensive support they provide every day to our Case Managers as well as our clients, referrers and professionals we work with. We also managed to squeeze in some operational updates and announcements, including some exciting new systems and tools being launched to support everyone in the team in their roles and help us deliver a better service!
To top it off, we had the talented and energising Cristian Sirbu of iBalance Therapy, providing specialist chair massages throughout the day – keeping us all limber, both physically and mentally! Thanks so much, Cristian!
Post-meeting drinks were well and truly earned and enjoyed by all! 🥂
Looking forward to the next one! 🙌
