There are few things more satisfying than discovering your colleagues’ hidden talents. Unless, of course, those talents involve beating you at carnival games while you’re busy insisting the games are clearly rigged. That, in a nutshell, was the NeuroHealth office team’s summer party this year!
The afternoon started calmly enough with a delicious Thai lunch, giving everyone the chance to relax, share stories and discover just how much spice people are willing to tolerate in pursuit of a good meal.
Then we headed to Fairgame, where the friendly atmosphere quickly gave way to intense leaderboard watching and increasingly creative explanations for poor performances…
We battled through carnival games that were far harder than they looked, but they provided plenty of laughs along the way. From Anna Brooks demonstrating some seriously impressive basketball skills, to Samantha Day showcasing remarkable hand-eye coordination, and of course a team photo with Fairgame’s giant pink teddy bear, there were memorable moments around every corner.
The biggest plot twist of the day came in the race for the top spot. Melanie Vary produced an incredible comeback, moving from third place to first on the very last game to snatch victory in dramatic fashion.
Beyond the competition, the day was a great reminder of the importance of taking time to connect outside of our day-to-day roles. Shared experiences, teamwork, friendship and plenty of laughter help build the trust and collaboration that make NeuroHealth such a supportive and successful team.
