Belinda qualified as an Occupational Therapist in 1988. Since that time, she has gained extensive experience as an Occupational Therapist Clinician, Occupational Therapist Clinical Team Manager, and Case Manager.

As an Occupational Therapist, Belinda worked within a variety of settings in hospitals, rehabilitation centres, schools and the wider community in both the UK and Australia. Her clients have included adults and young people with disabilities arising from general medical, orthopaedic and mental health conditions, acquired brain injury, learning difficulties and challenging behaviour.

Belinda became a Case Manager in 2000. She has, since then, developed expertise in the assessment of the clinical, social and psychological sequelae of traumatic injuries for the individual and their families and in the design, development and coordination of complex packages of care and support involving statutory and independent providers.

As a Case Manager, Belinda manages adult and paediatric clients who have sustained a wide range of catastrophic injuries, including brain injury, spinal cord injury and complex physical and psychological trauma. She also supports and provides supervision to the wider case management team in her role as Clinical Manager.

This varied experience has given Belinda the opportunity to develop skills in clinical assessment, creative goal setting, therapy intervention and monitoring/review of treatment programmes within the multidisciplinary setting.  She is an experienced clinical and support team manager and supervisor, and has been involved in service reviews, the development of policies, procedures and guidelines and in student education.

Belinda is a passionate, determined and client-centred practitioner. She seeks to empower clients at all stages of the recovery process through a detailed and holistic initial assessment, which includes understanding personal drives and life goals; with continuing client and family consultation, advocacy and multidisciplinary involvement, she aims to ensure individuality and choice throughout the course of their rehabilitation.

Belinda attends regular training courses and conference days and is deeply committed to ongoing professional development. She is registered with the Institute of Registered Case Managers (IRCM), the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC), and is a member of the British Association of Brain Injury & Complex Case Management (BABICM), the Royal College of Occupational Therapy (RCOT), and the Case Management Society UK (CMSUK).
