“Karen and NeuroHealth never stop exceeding my expectations. The help I get from my Case Manager when I need it is the very best. Karen has helped me since my injury 14 years ago and I would highly recommend her to anyone in need.” – Mrs D, Injured Client
Karen is an experienced Occupational Therapist and Case Manager with over 25 years of expertise in rehabilitation, assessment, and case management. She specialises in supporting individuals with brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, and other complex neurological and physical conditions, including amputation and complex orthopaedic injuries. Her work spans both adult and paediatric cases, with extensive experience in managing cases requiring 24-hour complex care.
Karen obtained her Bachelor of Applied Science in Occupational Therapy from Curtin University of Western Australia in 1999. Over the years, she has developed a strong clinical background in neurological rehabilitation and amputee management, as well as working with general medical and surgical client groups. Her expertise extends beyond direct client care, as she has also been actively involved in training and education. She has designed and delivered specialist training on brain injury and other neurological conditions for health professionals, solicitors, case managers, and families, ensuring a well-rounded and collaborative approach to rehabilitation.
Recognising the need for tailored and personalised case management services for individuals following life-changing injuries, Karen founded NeuroHealth Case Management Services in May 2008. As Managing Director and Case Manager, she balances her own caseload with providing leadership, supervision, and mentorship to a team of Case Managers. She is committed to ensuring that the highest standards of case management are maintained, offering guidance and clinical oversight to support her team’s professional growth and service delivery.
To stay at the forefront of her field, Karen regularly participates in clinical and case management training, conferences, and professional forums. She has built extensive networks with healthcare professionals, legal representatives, and rehabilitation services across London and the UK. These connections enable her to facilitate access to high-quality, multidisciplinary support for her clients.
Karen is registered with the Institute of Registered Case Managers (IRCM), the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC), and is a member of the British Association of Brain Injury & Complex Case Management (BABICM), the Royal College of Occupational Therapy (RCOT), and the Case Management Society UK (CMSUK).
Her dedication, expertise, and passion for improving the lives of individuals with complex injuries continue to drive her work in case management and rehabilitation.
